O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the first respondent to pass orders in the appeal that has been filed by the petitioner on 29.03.2019.

2. It is seen from the records that the petitioner was appointed as a Assistant Professor of English in the second respondent college in the year 2000. He was made as a Head of Department of English in the year 2017. Proceedings were initiated and the second respondent has passed an order on 08.03.2019 relieving the petitioner from his duties as a Head of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Department of English. Aggrieved by the said order, the petitioner has filed an appeal before the first respondent during March 2019. Since the same has not been disposed off, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

3. Heard Mr.R.Subramanian, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.V.Kathirvel, learned Special Government Pleader on behalf of the respondents 1.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner on 29.03.2019 and disposed off the same on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the first respondent along with a copy of the appeal filed by him and also a copy of this order.

5. This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
