ORDER

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that as per the award passed by the Labour Court, Kancheepuram in C.P.No.56/2018, the net calculated amount is Rs.4,18,016/-, out of which, already they deposited a sum of Rs.2,50,000/- before the Labour Court and the remaining amount would be paid within a period of three weeks.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent filed computation petition for 48 months from March 2014 to February 2016 inadvertently due to typographical error, the year of 2016 was wrongly mentioned as 2014. However they mentioned the number of months as 48 and calculated the total amount of Rs.11,51,168/-. Therefore, the Labour Court based on the above typographical error only, passed the award up to February 2014. Therefore, for the remaining period, the respondent is entitled to back wages without prejudice to the claim of the respondent to challenge the said order for the remaining period in the manner known to law, he accepts the

amount calculated by the writ petitioner.

3.Recording the above said submissions, this writ petition is closed, by preserving the liberty of the respondent to make his claim in respect of the remaining period in the manner known to law.
