Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing based on the petitioner representation and the report of the respondents 2 and 3 that confirms the encroachments and its extent, to take just and necessary action to

remove the encroachment and secure the encroached land and restore the village road comprised in S.No.14/3A, Kolatur Kolaimedu, Redid Palayam, Arni Taluk, Thiruvannamalai, S.No.266-13, Kattunallur Village (which form the road end corner).

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.R.Udaya Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is an encroachment on the Village Road comprised in S.No.14/3A, Kolatur Kolaimedu, Redid Palayam.

3. Learned State Government Pleader submits that the authorities have already taken action. Notice under Section 7 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905 has already been issued.

Section 6 orders would be passed within four weeks. Accordingly, steps would be taken for eviction of encroachments.

4. In view of the above statement, no orders required to be passed in the writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. (S.V.G., CJ.) (D.B.C., J.) 03.01.2024 Index :
