The petitioner seeks bail in Crime No.17 of 2023 registered under Sections 5(l)(j)(ii) r/w 6(1) of Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act (Amendment) 2019. The petitioner had been remanded to custody on 13.08.2023.

2.The petitioner is called Nilamathi aged about 31 years. In the statement recorded under Section 164 (5) Cr.P.C. of the victim child, who is practically half of his age, she has stated about one Vijayakumar and later had stated that it had come to her knowledge that Vijayakumar is also called as Nilamathiraj. She had been impregnated and a child has also been born. Charge sheet has also been filed. DNA test result is still awaited. Let the concerned Court take cognizance, charges be framed and the victim child be examined in chief and cross examined.
