2.
The grievance ventilated by the Petitioner in this Writ Petition is that reservation for widows and differently abled persons in filling up the post of Anganwadi Assistants in terms of G.O. Ms. No. 110, Social Welfare and Nutritious Meal Programme (SW7) Department dated 14.05.2012 issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu has not been followed while filling up the vacancy to the said post in the Child Development Service Programme, Muruganthagal Centre, Melmalaiyanur Region, Villupuram District. 3.
The Second Respondent has filed Counter-Affidavit dated 24.03.2022 stating that rule of reservation has been strictly followed and that Muruganthagal Centre in which the Petitioner has sought appointment has been 2/5
reserved for B.C. Non priority category. It is further explained by Learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the Respondents that separate places have been reserved for differently abled persons and Anganwadi Centre in which the Petitioner claims appointment does not come under the same. That apart, it has been highlighted that as on 17.03.2022, the post of Anganwadi Assistant in Muruganthagal Centre, Melmalayanur Block, Villupuram District remains vacant. In such circumstances, it is incumbent upon the concerned authorities to fill up the said vacancy following the prescribed procedure by 31.12.2022 and file report of compliance before the Registrar (Judicial) of the Court.
In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed on the aforesaid terms. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No costs. 17.06.2022 gd Index: Yes/No Note: Issue order copy by 27.10.2022.
