Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records of the first respondent in connection with the impugned Order passed by him in G.O.(D) No.278 Commercial Taxes and Registration (A1) Department, dated 15.06.2017 an quash the same and further direct the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner name for promotion to the post of Commercial Tax Officer as per seniority by granting relaxation as granted to the similarly situated person.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed to challenge the order passed by the first respondent in G.O.(D) No.278 Commercial Taxes and Registration (A1) Department, dated 15.06.2017 and direct the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioners' names for promotion to the post of Commercial Tax Officer as per the seniority by granting relaxation as given to the similarly situated persons.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, on instructions, submitted that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, the petitioners have been granted promotion, however, the respondents have not taken any decision with regard to their seniority. Hence, the learned counsel sought liberty to the petitioners to approach the respondents by filing appropriate representation.

3. Granting such liberty to the petitioners, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
