ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to pass final orders in the disciplinary proceedings that has been initiated against the petitioner.

2.It is seen from records that the petitioner was appointed as Grade-II Constable in the year 1993 and the disciplinary proceedings were initiated against the petitioner in the year 2001 for having involved in a corruption case for which criminal prosecution was also launched. Ultimately, the criminal case ended in acquittal in the year 2017. However, the department proceeded with the disciplinary proceedings and it is the case of the petitioner that the 2nd respondent has already completed the enquiry during August 2019 and the final orders are yet to be passed. petition has been filed seeking for appropriate directions. 3.Taking into consideration, the limited prayer that has been sought for by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to pass final orders in the disciplinary proceedings that has been initiated against the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, if no final orders have been passed till date. 4.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No Costs.
