PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the respondents by considering complaint dated 27.11.2019 to give police protection to the petitioner, her husband and his family.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the respondents by considering complaint dated 27.11.2019 to give police protection to the petitioner, her husband and his family.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner belongs to fishermen community and she married one Stephen who belongs to Scheduled Caste (Christian community). He further submitted that since the petitioner's family members did not like the said inter-caste marriage, they are trying to done away the petitioner and her husband and hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the second respondent on 27.11.2019 to provide police protection. no action taken on the said complaint and hence, he requests to direct the respondents to consider the said complaint and pass necessary orders.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that the second respondent may be directed to consider the said complaint.

5. Considering the aforesaid submission, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's complaint dated 27.11.2019 and pass appropriate order within a period of a week from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the aforesaid direction, this Crminal Original Petition is disposed of.
