Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents 1 to 13 to accord permission to the request of the Petitioner for conducting a peaceful motor cycle rally starting from Coimbatore on 22.07.2017 and en-route to Chennai passing through the Districts of Tiruppur, Erode, Namakkal, Salem, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Kancheepuram and Vellore enabling the student participants and organisers of Akila Bharath Hindu Maha Sabha Party to reach Chennai for presenting petitions to the Chief Minister on 24.07.2017 at about 11 AM at Fort St. George, Chennai.

The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to accord permission to the request of the petitioner for conducting a peaceful motor cycle rally starting from Coimbatore on 22.07.2017 and en-route to Chennai passing through the Districts of Tiruppur, Erode, Namakkal, Salem, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Kancheepuram and Vellore.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that now, almost two years have been lapsed and due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner has become infrcutuous.

Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Writ Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
