ORDER
By consent of the either parties, the writ petition is disposed at the admission stage itself.
2. This petition has been filed seeking to issue a direction to the respondent to consider the 2nd petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2025 requesting the respondent to return the original settlement deed dated 15.12.1990 executed in favour of B. Thiurmaran bearing Document No. 2401 of 2012 pertaining to the agricultural lands measuring an extent of 10.40 acres comprised in survey No. 196/2 Kudigadu village Cuddalore district
3. It is the case of the petitioners that the 2 nd respondent had approached the respondent bank for a loan to purchase of a tourist van and the same was approved for a sum of Rs.4,10,000/-, for which, the 1 st petitioner had deposited the original settlement deed dated 15.12.1990, though the loan was repaid as early as on 21.03.2005, the title deed was not retuned. Hence the 2 nd petitioner submitted a representation dated 05.11.2024 to the respondent, however, no action was taken till date, therefore, the present writ petition.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within the time stipulated by this Court.
5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this Court directs the respondent to consider and pass orders on the 2 nd petitioner's representation dated 05.11.2024 within a period of four weeks weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
