Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent herein to consider the sub division patta transfer application vide online Application ID No.2025/0105/07/653509 forwarded by the Sub Registrar, Gingee and consequently issue sub division patta for the petitioner's land measuring 0.01.80 cent comprised in Survey No.8/6 situated at Narasingarayanpettai Revenue Village, Gingee Taluk, Villuppuram Taluk at the earliest point of time. ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the third respondent herein to consider the sub division patta transfer application vide online Application ID No.2025/0105/07/653509 forwarded by the Sub Registrar, Gingee and consequently issue sub division patta for the petitioner's land measuring 0.01.80 cent comprised in Survey No.8/6 situated at Narasingarayanpettai Revenue Village, Gingee Taluk, Villuppuram Taluk at the earliest point of time. 2/6

2. Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has purchased a land measuring an extent of 0.01.80 cent, comprised in S.No.8/6 from Dhanapal vaigayara through a registered sale deed. At the time of registering the sale deed, the Sub Registrar collected fee for sub division patta transfer for the registered property. Upon registration, the online application dated 27.06.2025, for sub division patta transfer was sent to the respondents, seeking to issue sub division patta in favour of the petitioner. Since no action was taken, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 06.08.2025, before the third respondent. However, till date, the said representation was not considered by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition. 3/6

4. Though many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's online application dated 27.06.2025 for sub division patta transfer.

5. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's online application dated 27.06.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders passed within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

7. Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's online application dated 27.06.2025, for sub division patta transfer, after giving 4/6

due notice and opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as aggrieved person, if any, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
