Respondents Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents No.1 and 2 to consider the representation dated 09.06.2025 to transfer the petitioner to Lucknow or any region nearby to Lucknow or any place in North India on compassionate grounds.

By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2.The case of the petitioner is that she has been suffering from Chronic Anxiety Disorder/Acute Stress Reaction and at present she is working in Vettavallam Branch, Vellore Region, Tamil Nadu and that she has been transferred in violation of the Banks Transfer Policy of Indian Overseas Bank and she had given a representation on 09.06.2025 to the second respondent seeking transfer to any other region near Lucknow and since the said representation is pending consideration, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of present writ petition.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner was transferred and posted to Vellore pursuant to the promotion. However, he would submit that there is no proof that the representation of 2/4

the petitioner has been received by the respondents. 5.In view of the above, without going into the merits of the case, the petitioner is directed to give representation to the second respondent afresh within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks thereafter.

6.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 17.09.2025 raa A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.
