ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to dispose of his complaint in Na.Ka.No.8028/2023/ A4, dated 27.11.2023.

2. The petitioner filed a complaint before the first respondent under Section 5 of Senior Citizen Act seeking maintenance against the private respondents 2 to 6. Though the complaint was filed as early as on 27.11.2023, notice of hearing was issued by the first respondent on 06.04.2024 fixing the date of hearing as 17.05.2024, till date, no final order has been passed. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this court.

3. Mr.M.R.Gokul Krishnan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the first respondent.

4. In view of the limited scope of prayer, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the complaint of the petitioner in Na.Ka.No.8028/2023/ A4, dated 27.11.2023 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving opportunity to the petitioner and the private respondents 2 to 6.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
