PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to disburse or deposit the compensation amount with solatium within a time frame as may be stipulated by this Court to the petitioner for the property comprised in old S.No.226/3A2, new S.No.226/3A2B measuring an extent of 749 sq.meter situated at No.121, Mugaiyur Village, Cheyyur Taluk, Chengalpattu District acquired by the second respondent for the purpose of Mamallapuram - Puducherry Express Road Project under the National Highways Act, 1956. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to disburse the compensation amount to the petitioner with solatium within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 2/4

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the compensation amount has been paid to the petitioner and a copy of the relevant document is also placed before this Court. The learned counsel for the petitioner also confirms this fact.

4. Recording the above, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected WMP is closed.
