ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to give permission and police protection to conduct Kabaddi Tournament on 15.01.2023, 16.01.2023 and 17.01.2023 in the event of Pongal Festival at Sivan Thidal, A.Palapatti Village, Alanganatham Post, Senthamangalam Taluk, Namakkal District by considering petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2022.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner wants to conduct Kabaddi tournament on 15.01.2023, 16.01.2023 and 17.01.2023, in the event of Pongal Festival at Sivan Thidal, A.Palapatti Village, Alanganatham Post, Senthamangalam Taluk, Namakkal District and seeks Police protection.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submits that police are pre-occupied with bandobast duty for the Pongal festival and it is not possible for them to provide police protection to conduct Kabaddi
tournament on the aforesaid days. If the petitioner chooses to conduct Kabaddi tournament on different dates and give representation in that regard, the same would be considered.
4. In response, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner may be permitted to conduct Kabaddi tournament on 17.01.2023 to 19.01.2023.
5. On giving such representation, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to pass appropriate orders for conducting Kabaddi tournament on 17.01.2023 to 19.01.2023.
6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of, giving direction to the petitioner to give fresh representation to the respondent for conducting kabaddi tournament on 17.01.2023 to 19.01.2023. On giving such complaint, the 3rd respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders. No costs.
