The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Jayankondam, for speedy disposal of M.C.No.7 of 2024.

The contention of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is that the first petitioner filed the maintenance petition in M.C.No.7 of 2024 against her husband/respondent herein and the respondent has also filed a counter. However, thereafter, there is no progress. Hence, the present petition has been filed seeking a direction to expedite the trial.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case that the case is pending from the year 2024, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Jayankondam, to dispose of the petition filed by the petitioner in M.C.No.7 of 2024 as expeditiously as possible.
