The petitioner herein seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.656of 2023, registered by the respondent police for the offence under Sections 4(1)(aaa), 4(1-A) TNP Act. This is the second anticipatory bail application. The other application had been dismissed by this Court in Crl.OP.No.23457 of 2023, by an order dated 12.10.2023.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner has been falsely implicated as an accused in this case. Appending arrest from the respondent police, he seeks anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) stated that the respondent had intercepted a TATA Zest-XE vehicle bearing No.TN 10 BC 2639. The 2nd accused was driving the vehicle. The respondent police found 627 brandy bottles and 220 litres of Pondy arrack in the vehicle. On the basis of the confessional statement of the 2nd accused, it was found that the present petitioner is the owner of the car. It is stated that the 2nd accused is still in custody. It is also stated that the 2nd accused has been detained under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

kp 4.Taking all these factors into consideration, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed.
