Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to release the petitioners son namely Navaneetha Krishnan S/o. Rathinasamy (C.P.No.16412) who is confined at Central Priosn Coimbatore (Life Convict Prisoner No.16412) and further directing the respondents to treat the petitioners son as an eligible life convict prisoner for premature release by G.O.(Ms)No.488 dated 15.11.2021 by considering the petitioners representation dated 22.08.2205 within the time frame stipulated by this Court and to set the petitioner at liberty.

(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) This writ petition has been filed directing the respondents to release the petitioners son namely Navaneetha Krishnan S/o. Rathinasamy (C.P.No.16412) who is confined at Central Priosn Coimbatore (Life Convict Prisoner No.16412) and further directing the respondents to treat the petitioners son as an eligible life convict prisoner for premature release by G.O.(Ms)No.488 dated 15.11.2021 by considering the petitioners representation dated 22.08.2205 within the time frame stipulated by this Court and to set the petitioner at liberty.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and perused the materials placed on record.

Since this writ petition is filed for Mandamus simpliciter, to direct respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any view or opinion with regard to the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, expeditiously as possible.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
