O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to afford and provide necessary and adequate police protection to the petitioner, her husband and family members at their residence situated at No.281, Subba Nagar, Madanur, Ambur, Thirupathur635 804 from the acts of the fourth respondent and his men, relatives or any person acting on their behalf.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3.

3. The petitioner herein is the daughter of the fourth respondent. According to the petitioner, she loved a Christian boy and got married to him on 26.08.2025, which was opposed by her father and family members. Due to which, the fourth respondent and their men are threatening and harassing them by trespassing into their in-law's residence. Hence, the complaint has

been lodged before the respondent police.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner, her husband and in-laws were subjected to intimidation and harassment. He further submitted that there is life threat for them by the fourth respondent and hence, seeks police protection.

5. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) on instructions submitted that summons has been issued to the petitioner to appear before the respondent police today.

6. In response, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner will appear before the respondent police on 13.09.2025.

7. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court is of the opinion that on the appearance of the petitioner, the respondent police shall call the parents of the petitioner and enquire them as per law and if there is any life threat, they shall provide necessary protection to the petitioner and her husband.

8. With the above observations and direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
