This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a simple writ of mandamus to consdier the petitioner's appeal dated 01.08.2023 and dispose of the same for issuance of the Computerized Patta, Chitta, Adangal, etc., by mutating the petitioner's name in the Revenue Records for the property measuring 120 Sq.Mtr (1290 Sq.ft) comprised in Survey No.23/82, situated in Santhapuram Village, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District within a time stipulated by this Court.

The case of the petitioner is that the land in question was assigned to the petitioner by the Tahsildar, Hosur in pursuance of the orders issued by the Governement, vide Patta No.HSD736/1408 on 07.10.1998 and till date he is in possession and enjoyment of the said property. If that is the case, the petitioner approached the Revenue Authorities to obtain computerized Patta, Chitta, Adangal etc., at that time, he came to know that with regard to the said property, the Revenue records are not mutated in his name. Hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 05.10.2021 to the Revenue officials, for the reasons best known to them, no action had been taken, therefore, he filed W.P.No.26048 of 2021, by seeking the said relief and the same was disposed of, directing the Page No.2 of 5

respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.10.2021. Thereafter, without gone through the issue in detail, the Sub-Collector, Hosur passed the order dated 22.06.2023 and rejected the claim of the petitioner. Hence, he filed an appeal before the respondent herein on 01.08.2023 for the above relief and the same was pending till date. Hence, the petitioner filed the present Writ Petition. 3.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstance of the case, and taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondent to conduct a fresh enquiry, if not satisfactory with the enquiry was already conducted, and issue notice to the petitioner as well as to the adjacent land owners of the subject property and also interested parties/rival claimants if any. After issuing notice to the parties, conduct an enquiry in a manner known to law and consider the representation of the petitioner dated Page No.3 of 5

05.10.2021, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
