ORDER

The grievance of the petitioners in this Writ Petition is that eventhough, they were provisionally selected to the post of lecturers in Government Polytechnic Colleges and Special Institutions (Engineering / Non Engineering), their results have been withheld and they do not know the reason as to why it has been withheld.

2. In such circumstances, they have given a representation on 04.08.2022 to the first respondent, seeking reason as to why the results have been withheld though they were provisionally selected earlier. Since the representation has not been considered till date, they have filed this Writ 2/6

Petition.

3. Heard Ms.Sumathi Lokesh, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of R1 and Mr.Stalin Abimanyu, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of R2 and R3.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioners' representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the first respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioners' representation dated 04.08.2022, seeking reasons as to why their results were withheld though they were earlier provisionally selected for the post of lecturers in Government Polytechnic Colleges and Special Institutions (Engineering / Non Engineering), within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the aforementioned directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, the connected Writ Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
