O R D E R

This contempt petition is filed to punish the respondents for having willfully disobeyed the order passed by this Court on 06.07.2023, made in W.P.No.24755 of 2021.

2. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has filed the compliance affidavit in which he submitted a letter of the Secretary to Government, vide letter No.5117291/H1/2023-5 dated 28.02.2024 and the relevant portion is extracted hereunder for better appreciation and understanding:

"7. Your petitions dated 29.07.2020, 26.07.2021 filed by you were examined in detail by the Government. In the circumstances stated at paras 5 & 6 above, I am to inform you that the disciplinary case pending against you which has been initiated vide the charge memo first cited is being heard of and it will be finalized by duly following the procedures laid down in Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline & Appeal) Rules in consultation with the advisory departments viz., Human Resources Management / Law and orders will be passed."

3. In view of the above letter, this Court is inclined to grant three months time from the date of receipt of a copy of the order to complete the disciplinary case pending against the petitioner by following the procedures laid down by the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules.
