The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 370A(2) of I.P.C r/w 34 of I.P.C and Sections 3(1), 3(2)(a), 4(1), 4(2)(c), 5(1)(a) of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act, 1957, in Crime No.197 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.It is stated that earlier Crl.M.P.No.4387 of 2023 was dismissed by the learned Principal Sessions Judge at Puducherry by order dated 17.11.2023.

3. The learned counsel states that A1 had been granted bail by the Principal District Judge, Puducherry in Crl.M.P.No.4388 of 2023 dated 10.11.2023.

It is stated by the learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) that the petitioner had taken on lease the property at No.34, 1st Floor, Nehru Street, Engineers Thottam, Vandrapet, Mudaliarpet, Puducherry, for the purpose of running prostitution and victim women were rescued from that particular place.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) for the respondent police and perused the materials available on record.
