ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The case in C.C.No.32 of 2017 was taken on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Vandavasi, Vandavasi Taluk, Tiruvannamalai for the alleged offence under Section 392 of I.P.C. There are two accused in this case. A1 already admitted the case and underwent the sentence. A2 regularly attended the Court. The accused tried to rob the complainant's gold articles by threatening her. It is reported that the property involved in this case has already recovered and handed over to the de-facto complainant. 3.Considering that the property involved in this case has already been recovered and handed over to the complainant and since the accused has been facing the case since 2016, any further continuation of the trial would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial of the accused and no useful purpose would be served.

4.Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.32 of 2017 of Judicial Magistrate Court, Vandavasi, Vandavasi Taluk, Tiruvannamalai, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

13.10.2025 mp electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
