The petitioner seeks bail in Crime No.518 of 2023, registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(i), (4(1)(aaa) r/w 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act. 2.The petitioner was in possession of 110 litres of illicit arrack. 3.It is stated that there are five previous cases against the petitioner.

4.Taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner had been recently taken into custody and the huge quantity of illicit arrack seized, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. 5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. If there is further progress in the investigation and if there is any change in circumstance, then the application seeking bail can be considered. 29.11.2023 ata C.V.KARTHIKEYAN , J.
