ORDER
Ms.E.Ranganayaki, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the first and second Respondents and Mr.R.Murthi, learned Government Advocate for the third respondent. With consent of the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents respondents 1 and 2 herein to release the balance monetary benefits of a sum of Rs.1,56,817/- and subsequently to pay the D.A, gratuity, enhancement of earned leave, EPF on the basis of the amended pay scale as per the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2025.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed as a salesman on 22.09.1986 in the third respondent's office and he retired from service on 31.03.2017. Out of Rs.5,39,417/-, Rs.3,82,600/- was disbursed to him and the balance monetary benefits are due till date. Therefore, he made several representations to the second and third respondents, for which, no action has been taken. Thereafter, the petitioner preferred a revision before the second respondent and also appeared before the second respondent for enquiry. In the meanwhile, the third respondent sent a letter stating that there is a shortage of stocks amounting to Rs.1,68,738/-. Since the second respondent had not taken any steps to consider the representation of the petitioner, this present petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the first and second respondents and the learned Government Advocate for the third respondent.
5. Though several grounds have bee raised, this Court finds that it would be appropriate to issue a direction, without going into the merits of the case, to the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner 3/5
dated 10.01.2025 and pass orders, on its own merits, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not made any observation with regard to the merits of the petitioner's claim.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
