PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of the patta transfer application No.2024/0103/33/379235 dated 23.7.2024 and transfer the patta in favour of the petitioner in Survey No.193/4K1B, Chinnasalem North Town, Chinnasalem Taluk, Kallakurichi District and further direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.10.2024 in accordance with law. The petitioner seeks a Mandamus to the respondents to dispose of her patta transfer application made on 23.7.2024 and transfer patta in her favour in respect of the property in survey No.193/4K1B, Chinnasalem North Town, Chinnasalem Taluk, Kallakurichi District. She also sent a representation dated 26.10.2024 to the respondents reiterating her grievance once again.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader accepting notice for the respondents.

3. The petitioner, who has purchased the property in question under various sale deeds, had applied for the name transfer and her application has not yet been disposed of till date.

4. Considering the limited nature of the relief sought, the writ petition is allowed and the second respondent is directed to consider the application dated 23.7.2024 sent by the petitioner for patta transfer and pass appropriate orders thereon within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
