PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.01.2025 and thereby direct the respondents to disburse balance amount to the petitioner about Rs.38.07.658 without any further delay.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.01.2025 and thereby direct the respondents to disburse balance amount to the petitioner.
2. Mr.Ravindran Venkatachalapathy, learned standing counsel takes notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 5.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is a Civil Contractor Class-I State Level in TWAD Board and he had entered into three agreements with the 4th respondent herein for a period of 9 months from 01.07.2022 to 31.03.2023 vide separate sale agreements for different values. Based on the performance of the petitioner, the agreement period had been extended periodically up-to January 2024. Though the petitioner had completed the entire 2/6
contract work within the prescribed time as per the agreements, the respondent authorities have not sanctioned the agreement value to the petitioner. Aggrieved by which, the petitioner had addressed a representation dated 03.01.2025 to the respondents requesting to sanction the balance amount towards the work done by the petitioner. However, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the Writ Petition.

Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.01.2025 seeking to sanction the balance amount to petitioner towards the contract work done by the petitioner within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.
5. In view of the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.01.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of eight
(8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6
