The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 303(2), 326(a) of BNS Act 2023 r/w Section 21(1) of the Tamilnadu Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1987 in Crime No. 104 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail.

The case of the prosecution is that based on the secret information, the respondent police went to the scene of occurrence and found that the petitioner had illegally quarried 1⁄2 unit of river sand from the Kollidam river banks of Thillainayagapuram Village and transported in a Bullock Cart. Hence, the case.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) for the respondent police, submitted that the petitioner had involved in illegal transportation of 1⁄2 unit of river sand. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, nature of 2/4
allegations, submissions made by learned counsels on either side, considering the fact that the petitioner had illegally quarried and transported sand from the river, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
