The petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody by the respondent police on 04.01.2025 for the alleged offence under Sections 64(2)(1), 64(2)(m), 74, 238,66,64(2)(k), 296(b), 351(2) and 103 of BNS,2023 seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 01.01.2025 and 02.01.2025 the petitioner had sexually assaulted a 65 year old lady and also beaten her on the head. Due to which she sustained grievous injuries and succumbed to the injuries. Hence, the case.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police strongly objected for grant of bail by stating that the nature of offence.

4. Considering the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
