....Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking Writ of Mandamus to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.06.2015 to direct the 1st respondent to grant the petitioner pension for the period between 09.03.1984 to 30.10.1996 for the qualifying service rendered in the 3rd respondent school along with interest within a time frame. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 15.06.2015 seeking settlement of pensionary benefits for the service rendered in the aided school.

2. The petitioner claims that he had rendered qualifying service in the third respondent aided institution and his pensionary benefits are governed by the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules, 1973. According to him, the fourth respondent institution, from which he retired on 30.04.2016, does not have a pension scheme. Since the representation submitted by him on 15.06.2015 has not been considered till date, he preferred this Writ Petition.

3. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.06.2015 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
