Petition seeking bail in respect of Crime No.256 of 2024 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 331(4) and 305(a) of BNS, 2023, is on board for consideration.

2. The case of the prosecution is that, the defacto complainant is working in SJ Motors, located in Katchur village. On 16.08.2024, at about 5.30 a.m., he found that some unknown persons had broke open the company locker and committed theft of an amount of Rs.19,500/-. Hence the complaint.

3. The incarceration of the petitioner being from 05.09.2024, pleading innocence on the part of the petitioner and false implication in the case, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks indulgence of this Court. He would further submit that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this court.

4. The case of the prosecution, as putforth by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police, opposing for grant of bail, is that, the petitioner had broke open the company locker and 1/3

committed theft for an amount of Rs.19,500/-. He would further submit that the petitioner has got 18 previous cases of similar nature.

5. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police and perused the materials available on record.

6. Taking into consideration the above facts and circumstances of the case, the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and the bad antecedents against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed for the present.
