The Revenue Divisional Officer, Chennai District is suomotu added as the third respondent in the present writ petition.

2. This writ petition has been filed for the issue of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 18.10.2019 and pass

orders within the time stipulated by this Court.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that even though the representation was submitted before the second respondent seeking for cancellation of the entries made in the revenue records without notice to the petitioner, the files were subsequently transferred to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Chennai, who has been suo motu impleaded by this Court as the third respondent. The learned counsel further submitted that the files are now pending before the Revenue Divisional Officer.

4. Heard Mr.S.N.Parthasarathi, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents and learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration, the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the third respondent namely the Revenue Divisional Officer, Chennai District, to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 18.10.2019 and deal with the same strictly in accordance with law. The Revenue Divisional Officer shall issue notice to all the interested parties and afford them an opportunity before passing final orders. The final orders shall be passed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the RDO along with the copy of the representation dated 18.10.2019 accompanied by all the necessary documents and also a copy of this order. A copy of the representation shall also be marked to the second respondent.

6. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
