The Administrator General and Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu (AG & OT) has filed the instant application seeking permission to pay a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- to Akkur Sirappuli Nayanar Annadhana Committee, having S.B. A/c No.500101012054716 with City Union Bank, Sembanorkoil Branch, Main Road, Sembanorkoil, Nagapattinam District 609 301 (IFSC Code CIUB0000018-MICR Code: 609054004, from and out of the funds of Rajah Sir Ramaswamy Mudaliar Choultry Trust Estate. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.N.Ramanathan, learned AG & OT filed his detailed report dated 23.11.2023.

According to the learned AG & OT, the administration and management of Rajah Sir Ramaswami Mudaliar's Choultry and its allied endowments vest with the Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu by virtue of a decree dated 18.08.1970 passed by this Court in C.S. No.90 of 1963 pursuant to the will dated 12.02.1908 made by the testator Ramaswami Mudaliar.

The learned AG & OT further submitted that Annadhanam (poor feeding) is one of the objectives of RSRM Trust; while so, a request letter dated 20.11.2023 has been received from the Secretary of Akkur Sirappuli Nayanar Annadhana Committee, No.1/228, Gandhi Veedhi, Akkur, Nagai District 609 301, seeking a donation of Rs.1 lakh towards Annadhanam (poor feeding) to nearly 5,000 devotees on the occasion of Sri Sirappuli Nayanar Guru Pooja on 15.12.2023; the office of the AG & OT has been giving a donation of Rs.1 lakh for the past seven years favouring the same Committee for the purpose of Annadhanam (poor feeding) and that the balance in the bank account of RSRM Trust is Rs.12,03,579/-, from and out of which, a sum of Rs.1 lakh can be granted for the said purpose. Considering the detailed report dated 23.11.2023 of the learned AG & OT and the submissions made by him and more so, the fact Mr.N.Dheeraj Kumar, learned counsel representing Mr. S.V.R. Ramprasad, Co-Trustee of RSRM Trust, has no objection for the said donation, this application is ordered as prayed for.
