O R D E R

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent Police to complete the investigation and file a final report in connection with Crime No.538 of 2017 before the appropriate Court within a stipulated time.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though, based on the complaint given by the petitioner/de facto complainant, the second respondent Police registered a case in Crime No.538 of 2017 against the accused, no final report has been filed till date. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the investigation in this case has been completed and the respondent Police will be able to file the final report within two weeks.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.

In view of the above, the second respondent police is directed to file a final report in Crime No.538 of 2017 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, under due intimation to the de facto complainant.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
