The petitioner herein is an accused in S.C. No.75 of 2018 on the file of the Additional District Court-1, Vellore. 2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police, opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner and submitted that the petitioner had absconded after jumping bail in the month of February and was secured after six months. He further submitted that the delay in the progress of the trial is attributable to the petitioner's abscondence. He further submitted that the petitioner has been frequently changing his residence across various States, thereby deliberately evading the trial.

3. Considering the serious nature, pendency of the trial for over seven years and the past conduct of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 15.09.2025 rpl To
