The Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C to direct the third respondent to take further action on the petitioner's complaint dated 13.02.2019.

This criminal original petition is filed to direct the third respondent to take further action on the petitioner's complaint dated 13.02.2019.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's father had two wives, namely Bharathi and Chithra. The petitioner is the daughter of the second wife, namely Chithra. The petitioner's father owned a property measuring about 4728 sq.ft. Situated at Devadhanam Village, Mannarkudi Taluk,

Thiruvarur District comprised in survey No.231/4. Thereafter, the petitioner's father died on 07.12.2010. Earlier the petitioner's father had made a settlement of 1728 sq.ft in favour of the petitioner out of 4728 sq.ft. and the same was registered on the file of the Sub Registrar, Mannargudi in document No.544 of 2008 and in respect of the remaining portion of 3000 sq.ft., the petitioner and the other family members are equally entitled to. However, the petitioner's father's first wife created forged patta and chitta as if the whole property belongs to her. Hence, the petitioner made a representation to the third respondent for taking appropriate action against the petitioner's elder mother and other officials who were granting patta. Since no action was taken, the present direction petition has been filed.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the third respondent to take action on the complaint dated 13.02.2019.

M/s.Saradha Devi, Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondent, on instruction, submits that the third respondent already forwarded the complaint to the District Collector, Tiruvarur for appropriate further action in respect of transfer of patta, since it does not disclose any cognizable offence, and the same was also informed to the petitioner.

5. The petitioner's complaint has already been forwarded to the District Collector, Tiruvarur for further appropriate action and the same has also been informed to the petitioner. Therefore, nothing survives in this matter for further adjudication in the present petition.

6.Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
