ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third
and fifth respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 24.05.2025.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 and perused the materials available on record.
3. A perusal of the representation dated 24.05.2025 reveals that the petitioner is the landlord and the respondents 6 to 8 Schools are the tenants of the building comprised in Survey No.29/3, situated at Plot Nos.279 to 287, Kasthuribai Avenue, Sundra Sholavaram Village, Thiruverkadu, Chennai, to an extent of 14409 sq.ft., along with building consisting of ground and first floor, measuring 13800 sq.ft.
4. Due to certain disputes, the petitioner has objected to the issuance of a "No Objection Certificate" on the basis of the lease agreement on the ground that the respondents 6 to 8 failed to pay the rent for the premises regularly. Therefore, the petitioner ought to have approached the competent Civil Court seeking appropriate relief for non-payment of rent and recovery of arrears of rent.
4. In view of the above, the direction sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered. Thus, the writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. However the respondents 1 to 5 are directed to deal with the recognition and licensing of the respondents 6 to 8 in accordance with law. No costs.
