PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the entire records ending with the impugned order No.Na.Ka.522 of 2023 Nu.Koo(1) dated 30.10.2023 of the first respondent and quash the same and direct the first respondent to include the petitioner's name in the provisional selection list for the post of Salesman published by the first respondent on 15.09.2023. ORDER
The petitioner herein had participated in the selection process for the post of Salesman pursuant to Notification No.1/2022 dated 13.10.2022 under the category of Scheduled Caste Destitute Widow. Complaining of nonselection, the present writ petition has been filed.
2. Today when the matter was called, learned Special Government Pleader produced the written Position Note relating to the petitioner's candidature. As per the details furnished therein, the petitioner has secured 58.50 marks under the Scheduled Caste Destitute Widow category, by taking into account 50% of the academic marks and her interview marks. As per the 2/5
note, the petitioner's secured 33 marks in the interview and 50% of the academic marks is 25.50. The zone of consideration under the Scheduled Caste Destitute Widow category Priority - 1 is 62.08 marks and Priority - 2 is 61.71 marks. Since the petitioner herein has not come under the zone of consideration, her non-selection cannot be found fault with.
3. Thus, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. 27.11.2023 Index:Yes/No Internet:Yes/No gpa 3/5
