PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to dispose of petitioner representation dated 21.07.2025 concerning cancellation / revocation of the impugned order dated 20.06.2025 in Patta Transfer proceedings in TR No 2025/ 0103 / 35 / 438823TR passed by the 3rd respondnet herein, within the time framed by this Court.

Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. With consent of both sides, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
2. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the 1st 2/6
and 2nd respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 21.07.2025 concerning cancellation / revocation of the impugned order dated 20.06.2025 in Patta Transfer proceedings in TR No 2025/ 0103 / 35 / 438823TR passed by the 3rd respondnet herein, within the time framed by this Court.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 seeking cancellation of the patta issued by the 3rd respondent dated 20.06.2025, by which the 3rd respondent had altered the patta with respect to the properties belonging to the petitioner's father, by excluding the name of the petitioner. Since, no action has been taken on the said representation, the petitioner is before this Court by way of the present writ petition.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that since the petitioner filed representation as against the order of the 3rd respondent, the respondent concerned would consider and pass orders on the the petitioner's representation, by treating it as an Appeal 3/6
filed by the petitioner under Section 12 of the Patta Passbook Act, 1983, within a time frame fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
5. Heard both sides. Perused the records.
6. In the case on hand, since the representation was made by the petitioner against the order passed by the 3rd Respondent, the 2nd Respondent is directed to treat the same as an Appeal filed under Section 12 of the Patta Passbook Act, 1983 and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the respondents 4 to 8 as well as to interested parties, if any, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
7. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 17.09.2025 arr 4/6
