Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent herein to consider and pass suitable orders on the petitioner's representation dated 11/09/2019 so as to direct the 2nd respondent to fix the petitioner's salary in the Junior Assistant scale from 01.04.2000.

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 11.09.2019 and to dispose the same and to fix the salary of the petitioner in the Junior Assistant pay scale from the year 2000. Page No.1/3

2.The petitioner joined as a sales man in the second respondent Society. Thereafter, he was promoted to the post of Junior Assistant in the year 2019. The grievance of the petitioner is that the salary paid to the petitioner was fixed to the scale of Junior Assistant only with effect from 01.08.2019 and it is not being given effect from 01.04.2000 since the petitioner was promoted with effect from that date. Therefore, he has given a representation to the first respondent and since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

3.Heard Mr.S.Balasubramanian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaram, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the first respondent. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the limited relief that has been sought for in the writ petition, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.09.2019 and deal with the same on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to give a representation along with the copy of this order to the first respondent.

5.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
