ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.09.2017, which is given for availing appointment of Anganwadi Assistant at Alangaramangalam Village, Anganwadi, Kalasapakkam Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner made a representation dated 21.09.2017, requesting the respondents to appoint her as Anganwadi Assistant at Alangaramangalam Village, Anganwadi, Kalasapakkam Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District. Since, no appointment was made till date, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents produced a letter, received from the District Planning Officer and submitted that, in the said letter, it is clearly stated that one Mariammal has secured 38 marks in the interview conducted for the appointment of Anganwadi Assistance. Whereas, the petitioner herein has secured only 33 marks. Therefore, Mariammal, who secured the highest mark was appointed for the said post. Therefore, he submitted that the relief sought for in the present Writ Petition cannot be granted to the petitioner.

4.In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, this Court is of the view that one Mariammal was already appointed as Anganwadi Assistance based on the marks secured by the candidate in the interview. Therefore, the petitioner's representation to appoint her as a Anganwadi Assistant cannot be considered, since she secured 5 marks less than Mariammal. 5.In the result, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
