This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents not to interfere with the possession and enjoyment of the petitioner's property at No.22, Radial Road (Old Mahabalipuram Road), Kandanchavadi, Chennai-96 in S.No.39/1, Perungudi Village.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents.
3. This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents not to interfere with the possession and enjoyment of the petitioner's property at No.22, Radial Road (Old Mahabalipuram Road), Kandanchavadi, Chennai-96 in S.No.39/1, Perungudi Village.
4. During the pendency of the writ petition, even according to the petitioner, the Highways Department had acquired the land and had demolished his house. Therefore, the petitioner filed WP.No.1583 of 2003 seeking compensation. In view of the fact that the petitioner's land has been acquired by the Government and his house also has been demolished, nothing survives in the writ petition and the same is dismissed.
No costs.
Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
