Today the matter is taken up for consideration under the caption 'For Being Mentioned' to modify the order passed by this Court on 18.08.2023 in paragraph-5.

Accordingly it is modified in paragraph-5, which shall be read as under:- "5. In view of the facts and circumstances, the respondents 5 to 7 are directed to consider the objections submitted by the writ petitioners and take a decision on merits and in accordance with law and by following the procedures as contemplated under the National Highways Act, 1956."

2. In all other aspects, the order stands as it is. Thus the modification petition stands ordered.
