Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition is filed, under the Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to conclude the proceedings initiated to secure the Mutt and its properties as per the Order of the first respondent in its proceedings Na.Ka.No.66372/2016/R1 dated 22.06.2017 within a time to be fixed by this Court consequently restraining the respondents 4 to 6from in any manner interfering with the administration of the mutts namely Sri Arunachala Gnanadesikar Swami Temple & Mutt, Sri Po.K.A.Sathukal Madam, Vedaranyam, Nagapattinam District and Sri Palsamy Mutt and Sri Sankara Swamy Mutt Thanjavur.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to conclude the proceedings initiated to secure the Mutt and its properties as per the Order of the first respondent in its proceedings Na.Ka.No.66372/2016/R1 dated 22.06.2017 within a time to be fixed by this Court consequently restraining the respondents 4 to 6from in any manner interfering with the administration of the mutts namely Sri Arunachala Gnanadesikar Swami Temple & Mutt, Sri Po.K.A.Sathukal Madam, Vedaranyam, Nagapattinam District and Sri Palsamy Mutt and Sri Sankara Swamy Mutt Thanjavur.

2. When the matter is taken up today, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that as far as Arunachala Gnanadesikar Swami Temple & Mutti is concerned, the Executive officer has already been appointed. In so far as Sri Po.K.A.Sathukal Madam, Vedaranyam, Nagapattinam District and Sri Palsamy Mutt and Sri Sankara Swamy Mutt Thanjavur are concerned, they will appoint Executive officers within a period of three months. 3/6

3. Recording the submissions of the learned Special Government Pleader, the respondents 1 to 6 shall make an endeavour to appoint the Executive Officer to Sri Po.K.A.Sathukal Madam, Vedaranyam, Nagapattinam District and Sri Palsamy Mutt and Sri Sankara Swamy Mutt Thanjavur, within the time undertaken before this Court.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 20.01.2023 Index:Yes/No vrc To,
