O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first and second respondents to give police protection to the petitioner for fencing the property by dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 07.12.2022.

2. The case of the petitioner in brief;- The petitioner is an absolute owner of the immovable property comprised in Survey Nos.351/3, 350/1C, 350/3, 353/1A, 353/1B, 350/2, 351/1 and 351/2 to an extent of 10.5 acres of agricultural land and he mutated in all the revenue records including patta in his name and fenced the entire property. While being so, some local rowdy elements, one Sundar and Raja along with their henchmen damaged the entire fencing and also damaged the electrical post and trespassed into the property by demanding rowdy mamool of Rs.25 lakhs. Thereafter, on 17.10.2022, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the Commissioner of Police, Avadi Commissionerate. The said complaint was forwarded to the first and second respondents for necessary investigation. Thereafter, the first respondent conducted an investigation and it is pending. While being so, when the petitioner went to the said land, the said persons along with their rowdy elements preventing the workers to fence the property and threatened them with dire consequences. Thereafter, the petitioner has 2/4

given an another representation to the first and second respondents on 07.12.2022 for seeking police protection for fencing the property. However, the said representation has not been considered. Hence, the writ petition.

3. Mr.L.Baskaran, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 07.12.2022 may be considered on merits and appropriate orders may be passed in accordance with law.

4. Considering the above facts and circumstances, this Court is inclined to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.12.2022 and dispose of the same, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
