Order Heard Mr.R.Udhayakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Indhu Bala, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. Since the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission and considering the nature of relief to be granted herein, notice to the respondent No.4 is dispensed with.
2. This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the Appeal dated 09.04.2025 within a time frame.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that aggrieved by the order passed by the second respondent, the petitioner filed an Appeal before the first respondent on 09.04.2025 to cancel the patta erroneously granted in favour of the fourth respondent and since the said Appeal evoked no response, the petitioner has approached this Court, by way of filing this Writ Petition, seeking for the aforementioned relief. It is 2/5
submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied, if a direction is issued to respondent No.1 to dispose of the Appeal pending before him within a stipulated time.
4. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 has submitted that the appeal filed by the petitioner would be considered and disposed of in accordance with law within the time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

Considering the aforesaid submissions and the limited scope of the prayer, sought for by the petitioner, in this Writ Petition, this Court, without expressing any view with regard to the merits of the contentions putforth by the petitioner either in the Writ Petition or in the Appeal, is of the view that, suffice it would be to direct the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's Appeal in a time bound manner.
6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the Appeal made by the petitioner dated 3/5
09.04.2025 and dispose of the same as early as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
