The petitioner is the owner of 2 acres of land in Survey No. 193/2, Puthur Village, Salem, vide a registered deed of settlement dated 31.05.2019 (Document No. 1194 of 2019). The petitioner sought a direction to measure the property in W.P.No. 7153 of 2024, which was disposed of by this Court on 20.03.2024. However, private respondents removed the boundary stones, causing further issues. The Village Administrative Officer filed a complaint with the second respondent on 22.08.2024, but no action was taken. Subsequently, the petitioner submitted a police complaint on 08.10.2024, which is still pending.

2. The dispute at hand primarily concerns a civil matter involving property boundaries and land ownership. The petitioner's grievance relates to the measurement of property and the removal of boundary stones, both of which are civil issues falling under the jurisdiction of the civil courts. As the matter pertains to civil rights and property disputes, police protection is not typically granted in such cases.

3. In light of the above, the writ petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is granted liberty to pursue appropriate legal remedies before the civil court, in accordance with the law.
