PRAYER in W.P.No.34755 of 2025 Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to refund a sum of Rs. 3,88,518/- towards registration fee, EMD , Development Charges etc., remitted by the petitioner herein for the Application No. 200091690521233, which was cancelled on 6.07.2021 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court together with interest @ 10 percent thereon from the date of cancellation until the date of the payment PRAYER in W.P.No.34787 of 2025 Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to refund security deposit and other deposits lying with the respondents in the account of electricity service connection bearing no.09-169-0225 which came to be disconnected and the meter came to be removed on 24.02.2022 together with interest @ 10% thereon from the date of disconnection until the date of payment. Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh C O M M O N ORDER Since the issue involved in these petitions and the parties in the present Petitions are one and the same, they are taken up together and a common order is passed. By consent of either parties, the writ petitions are taken up for disposal at the admission stage.

These petitions have been filed seeking to issue a direction to the respondents to refund the registration fee, EMD, development charges, remitted by the petitioner in Application no.200091690521233, which was cancelled on 06.07.2021 and security deposit and other deposits lying with the respondents in the account of Electricity service connection bearing no.09-169-0225, which came to be disconnected and meter came to be removed on 24.02.2022 together with interest @ 10 percent thereon.

It is the case of the petitioner in W.P.No.34785 of 2025 that the petitioner and his wife with an intention to develop the property applied for new commercial electricity connection for 123.975 KW through online application on 04.05.2021 and paid a sum of Rs.3,88,518/- and thereafter, petitioner modified the application for 110KW, accordingly petitioner made several representations to refund the entire amount, which was made for electricity connection for 123.975 KW, since the same was cancelled, however, the same has not been done, hence the present petition.
4. It is the case of the petitioner in W.P.No.34787 of 2025 that at the time of purchasing the property there was an LT Electricity service connection. Thereafter, the said connection has been changed to
temporary connection for construction purpose, after construction is over, the said electricity service connection came to be disconnected and the meter came to be removed on 24.02.2022, hence the petitioner made a representation to the 3 rd respondent for refund of security deposit and other deposits, however, the same has not been considered, therefore, the petitioner has come up with the present petition.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within the time stipulated by this Court.
5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this Court directs the petitioner to send copy of representation along with this order copy to enable the respondents to consider and pass orders on the said petitioner representation within a period of four weeks weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, the writ petition are disposed of. No costs.
