Assistant (Mathematics) and give promotion to the petitioner with all consequential benefits.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to include the name of the petitioner in the panel 2016-2017 prepared by the first respondent vide proceedings dated 02.11.2016 for promotion to the post of P.G. Assistant (Mathematics) and to give promotion to the petitioner with all consequential benefits. 2.

A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondents. 3.

In the counter affidavit at paragraph No.7, it is averred that as per interim orders of this Court dated 05.01.2017, the petitioner's name was included in the panel list and promoted to the post of P.G. Assistant (Mathematics) by proceedings dated 31.10.2017. Thereafter, the petitioner is working as a P.G.Assistant (Mathematics) in the Greater Chennai Corporation. 4.

Learned counsel for the respondents contend that as the relief sought in this writ petition by the petitioner is already granted by the respondents, is sought to close the writ petition as infructuous. The learned counsel for the petitioner also endorsed the same.

In view of the above factual position, in my considered view, no further 2/4

adjudication is required in this case.
